Welcome to 2017 and the Bramley Cricket Club website.
Bramley Cricket Club can trace its roots to the first women's game of cricket back in 1794 when the eleven maidens of Bramley took on eleven maidens of Hambledon. There has been cricket in one form or another on Gosden Common pretty much since that date.
We are a club who are actively looking for new recruits to help us in our push to victory. We field three weekend sides, playing at some of the most stunning grounds in the area; two Saturday teams play in the I'Anson League, which is one of the oldest leagues in the country, and a Sunday side that plays friendlies.
Our goal is to be competitive, but not to take away the fun of cricket. There is nothing better than a game on a sunny afternoon looking over a beautiful village green, followed by a few refreshing ales in the local with like-minded pals, watching the sun go down and reliving great (or not so great) cricketing moments and (hopefully) a close fought victory!
We are actively recruiting cricketers, young and old, male and female and of any ability. We enjoy the company of the regular twice weekenders and those seeking only a handful of games a season. We have a number of cricketers who have played every weekend since leaving school and others that hadn't played since primary school, aged 11, and have now become very competent cricketers!
Bramley Cricket Club is an exciting place to be with improvements to facilities continuing and new sponsors supporting with our drive forward. This year we are looking at obtaining new Covers for our playing strip as well as a Mobile Net and more training gear.
We also have a new partnership with Bramley Golf Club which provides our playing members (both new and old) with a fantastic opportunity to join a quality golf club in the winter months at a very competitive price! Please click on the Bramley Cricket Club/Bramley Golf Club in Partnership logo on the right to find out more.

Bring on a long hot summer, the sound of leather on willow and the constant cries of "howzat", preferably from us!
